1. Cancellations outside of 30 days will receive a refund of the deposit less a $150 administration fee and any credit card merchant fees.
   Within 30 days before arrival, all monies will be forfeited.
   No refunds can be given in the event of non-arrival, any unused services, or unused nights due to flight and/or weather disruption.
2. Change of travel date dates can be amended for no charge.
3. 100% credit can be applied to any future booking. We recommend you protect yourself with travel insurance.

If you wish to have your room serviced daily please let our staff know.

A guest laundry is not provided; however, we are more than happy to launder your items for you upon request.

Due to the resort being 100% solar power, we do not use an iron at the retreat.

There is a minimum of two nights stay atBanubanu. If you wish to stay longer than 3 nights, please email enquiries@banubanu.com.

Fishing - The retreat offers fishing charters that can be organised during your visit. The fishing experience around Bremer Island near Gove Peninsula in the Northern Territory's Arnhem Land is truly spectacular. The waters where the Gulf of Carpentaria meets the Arafura Sea are teeming with migrating Pelagic fish such as Spanish Mackerel and Tuna. The local reefs are home to a variety of species including Trevally, Queenfish, Red Emperor, Jewfish, Coral Trout, and more. Guests can embark on fishing adventures aboard the MV Nomad, our fishing boat, to witness why the convergence of these two seas is considered one of the world's premier fishing destinations. Alternatively, you can fish from our rocks and beaches – don’t forget to bring your tackle.

Beach Walking – Please advise a staff member of your intended time of return and the route that you plan on taking. Our staff will be happy to pick you up or drop you off at a nominated place if you choose. Visitors are encouraged to explore the island's natural treasures through walking trails and beach excursions.

Wildlife - While staying at Banubanu, guests can engage in various activities to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Bremer Island. The island boasts a diverse range of wildlife, including dolphins, whales, 65 bird species, and 4 species of nesting sea turtles (The Olive Ridley, Flatback, Green and Hawksbill) on Banubanu’s beaches. If you see a snake, please stay away from them and report it to staff.

In case of an emergency, contact an on-duty staff member immediately. Upon booking your stay, advise us of any medical considerations that we should be aware of.

Bring light clothing, a cardigan for the evenings, thongs, walking shoes, bathers, your fishing tackle, and snorkelling equipment.

All meals are also included in your package during your stay.  We cater for all dietary requirements, let management know upon your booking if you have any special requirements.

We have a standard alcohol range that is included in your package which includes, soft drinks, juices, wines, and standard spirits. A reserve wine list is also available for purchase as are cocktails and top-shelf spirits for an extra cost.

There is Telstra 4G available for hot-spotting off, there are also Cel-fi repeaters located in the restaurant for guests.

Nestled along the beachfront of Bremer Island's western bay, Banubanu offers safari tents that blend modern comforts with nature's tranquillity. Guests can enjoy breathtaking ocean vistas from the tent, featuring expansive windows on three walls, or venture outside to immerse themselves in the tropical surroundings.

The optimal period to visit Banubanu Beach Retreat is during the 'Dry' season, spanning from May to October. This season is known for its warm, dry, sunny days and cool nights. Temperature-wise, expect a range between 21°C (70°F) to 32°C (90°F), with significantly reduced humidity levels at approximately 60-65%.

Getting to Nhulunbuy involves a one-hour flight from Darwin and a one-hour and twenty-minute flight from Cairns. Guests travelling with their boat or light aircraft, such as helicopters, can plan with us for arrival at Banubanu.

Banubanu Beach Retreat is located on Bremer Island, approximately 15 km off the coast of Nhulunbuy. You can reach the retreat by embarking on a 40-minute boat ride from Gove Harbour to Bremer Island or a quick 15-minute flight from Gove Airport to the island.
